For many people building a new home, while exciting, can also be a daunting process.
Once the decision has been made to build, floor plans chosen and paperwork signed…..the next hurdle of making all of your internal selections can, for some, be very overwhelming.
The good news is, that it doesn’t have to be! Our experienced team at Refined Edge make it our mission to take the stress of this part of the building process.
Not only do we provide you with a detailed selections booklet and locations where you can see, feel and touch the products for yourselves, we also provide time with our Interior Designer.
For so many clients, this is invaluable! Our Interior Designer works closely with our clients to turn your ideas into a cohesive scheme that delivers your dream home.
On top of this you have personal and unlimited access to your experienced Client Liaison, someone that can hold your hand step by step through the selection process.
We like to think of our Client Liaisons as a concierge for our clients, treating each build as their own, they will book appointments for clients, research products and ideas, pull inspiration images, attend meetings and take minutes, advocate for the client and collate all selection information so that it is detailed correctly.
While most builders allow clients a single day to conduct their Prestart meeting and finalise their selections we have broken the process down.
- Meeting 1. With Client Liaison – review of Construction plans and booking of appointments. Appliance and Plumbing fixture selections.
- Meeting 2. Lighting, Electrical, Smartwire and Security plan meeting
- Meeting 3. External colour selections with Interior Designer
- Meeting 4. Tile Selection meeting with Interior Designer
- Meeting 5. Cabinet plan meeting with Client Liaison
- Meeting 6. Internal colour selections with Interior Designer
- Meeting 7. Variation meeting with Estimator
- Meeting 8. Signing of final plans and selection specification
Sandy recently moved into her new home in Applecross and we asked her for her thoughts around her experience through this selections process:
“The selection process was made easy and less stressful with Erin, our Client Liaison, driving and accompanying me to the various places. Erin’s experience and wealth of knowledge was invaluable to me in this process. She was also good at suggesting different options that we hadn’t even thought of.
It was great that everywhere we went an appointment had been made and we had one on one advise from a specialist in that area . Erin always had a camera, clip board, took notes and was very good with suggestions and practical advice. More than once I saw bewildered customers that were envious of the attention I was receiving. In fact it was quite an enjoyable experience.
Nothing was ever to much trouble and I felt I could phone or send an email with any questions I had and I knew if I emailed the night before I would have a response very early the next day. Quite often I would ring Erin and run things past her and if she couldn’t help me she would get someone who could.
I think being inexperienced at building it would have been quite stressful for me to choose everything without Erin virtually holding my hand and steering me through the process.”
